Demiurge teamed up with artist Collin Parson to fabricate and install his first public artwork, HERE. Located in the heart of downtown Denver, this sculpture hangs above the pedestrian alley bridge on the underside of the newly renovated Dairy Block alley bridge. HERE utilizes 32 sheets of mirror polished stainless steel to cover a 20 ft wide and 128 ft long area. Centrally located on the sculpture is a 10 ft oval-shaped light fixture with neon lighting displaying on either side the word 'here'. The reflections activate the space and allow people to be present in the moment and aware of their activities. The word ‘HERE’ expresses the ‘now’ and ‘being present’ while also hinting to the attention of the shouting of ‘here’ when taking a role call. HERE represents the evolution of Denver and the people that continue its growth.

Artist Bio:
Denver native Collin Parson currently serves as the Director of Galleries and Curator for the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities in Arvada, Colorado, is a former member at the historic Pirate: Contemporary Art cooperative, and recently concluded an art residency at RedLine Denver. An arts administrator, artist, curator, and designer he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology with an emphasis in Lighting and Scene Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Master of Arts in Visual Culture and Arts Administration from Regis University in Denver. His creative work involves the control of light and color to create vivid light and space works. He has had the privilege of jurying many arts festivals and exhibitions and has received many awards and recognition for his creative projects. He was awarded 100 Colorado Creatives by Westword magazine in 2013 and featured in Arts District on Rocky Mountain PBS. Parson is the son of Colorado sculptor Charles Parson, whose experience with the region's arts community helped Collin long before his professional career began. Growing up in a family of artists, Collin is proud to be continuing the creative traditions.
